DES MOINES, Iowa - Longer, warmer days that come with spring have brought fewer bats back into Iowa for the 10th year in a row.
This decline will be the focus of a webinar series hosted by the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach office. The series will focus on issues like forest habitat loss and a deadly disease called White Nose Syndrome.
The first 200 participants who complete a post-session evaluation will be given a shipment of 25 seedlings from the Iowa Forest Nursery to help bat habitats.
